Cabo para transmissão de dados
1. É aquele formado por condutores isolados, torcidos em pares com impedância nominal de 100 Ω e protegidos por um ou mais revestimentos (capa externa), podendo ser classificado como cabo horizontal, cabo de acesso, cabo de manobra ou cabo de backbone. Pode possuir blindagem constituída de fita de alumínio ou aluminizada envolvendo cada par ou o núcleo do cabo, podendo esta blindagem ser constituída de malha de fios de cobre com ou sem fita de alumínio e um fio dreno de cobre estanhado que deve fazer contato elétrico com a blindagem em fita ao longo do cabo.
