Perda de inserção da antena
1. É assumida como sendo a perda de inserção do alimentador dada pela relação, expressa em dB, entre a potência existente na sua porta de alimentação e a potencia encontrada na porta de saída do sistema alimentador (ou elemento radiante primário). A perda de inserção total do sistema alimentador é o somatório da perda ôhmica que ocorre nos respectivos materiais condutores e dielétricos, da perda que ocorre devido ao descasamento da antena, e da perda devida a fuga e vazamento indesejável de sinal de radiofrequência;
